Position Summary

We are looking for a Short-Form & Podcast Video Editor who can execute clean, engaging edits for podcast episodes and short-form content.

This role requires someone who understands pacing, retention, and clarity. You will be responsible for turning long-form podcast recordings and raw content sessions into polished, platform-ready videos optimized for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

You must be confident working independently, reviewing footage to identify strong clips, and delivering work that requires minimal revision.

Responsibilities

Podcast Editing

• Edit 15–30 minute video podcast episodes

• Execute multi-cam edits when applicable

• Deliver clean cuts, balanced audio, and polished pacing

• Meet agreed-upon turnaround timelines for long-form episodes

• Writing short episode descriptions

Short-Form Content

• Pull engaging short-form clips from podcast episodes

• Review raw footage from content sessions and independently identify strong, high-retention moments

• Optimize the first 3 seconds for engagement

• Add captions inside Adobe Premiere Pro following client-specific font and color guidelines

• Execute clean jump cuts, zoom-ins, minor effects, and relevant B-roll

• Format videos appropriately for Instagram Reels, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts

• Meet agreed-upon turnaround timelines for clip batches

Work Style & Independent Contractor Expectations

This is an independent contractor role. You will determine how and when the work is completed, provided all agreed-upon deadlines are met.

Isa Media Inc sets project scope, quality standards, and delivery deadlines. Contractors are responsible for managing their own workflow, schedule, and editing process to meet those deadlines.

Deadlines will align with EST-based client timelines. Contractors must be able to meet these delivery expectations, but are not required to work specific hours.

Minimum Qualifications

Core Editing Skills

• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro

• Proficient in Descript, Riverside, and Canva

• Experience editing 15–30 minute video podcast episodes, including multi-cam edits

• Strong understanding of retention strategy and hook creation

• Ability identify high-performing moments in raw footage

• Skilled in adding captions directly inside Premiere

• Comfortable inserting B-roll naturally and tastefully

• Strong attention to detail with clean transitions, zoom execution, and polished pacing

Tools & Technical Requirements

• Must use your own editing software and equipment

• Ability to export and format videos appropriately for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube

• Portfolio required with relevant short-form and long-form examples
